About Me
After being a Legal PA for 16 years and working for some of London's top law firms, I felt the need to do something that I felt passionate about, something rewarding.
My new journey began when I received Reiki for a shoulder injury I had been suffering with for several years. I was so impressed with the results that I went on to study Usui Reiki Healing stages I and II. I had so many amazing and wonderful experiences with Reiki that I went on to learn Anatomy and Physiology and Holistic Massage to gain a better understanding of the workings of the human body and to complement the Reiki treatments I was giving.
After qualifying in several more complementary therapies over the next few years, I attended a post graduate training course in pregnancy massage – at last I had found what I had been searching for! Something where I could really help people and something I felt so passionate about.
After working with so many mums and gaining much experience, I went on to train to be an Infant Massage Instructor. To see the benefits of infant massage for both mother and baby unfold before my eyes has been a wonderful learning experience. The results of the massage speak for themselves when I see the babies respond and experience positive changes by the end of the five week course.
My interest in fertility grew after trying for two and a half years for my daughter. After my daughter was born in 2010, I started researching fertility to gain a more in depth understanding. By 2014 I had enrolled in a Fertility Massage course. I was also trying for another baby and, once again, I was not conceiving. By the time I started IVF, I was also having regular Fertility Massage at college as part of my training. We were very blessed that I fell pregnant after just one round of IVF and I strongly believe this was due to having regular Fertility Massage alongside my IVF treatment. At the end of 2015 I qualified in Fertility Massage just before giving birth to a healthy little boy! By the time he arrived, we had been trying to conceive for four years.
Since the birth of my son, I have had three failed rounds of IVF. The only thing that has been different between my successful cycle and my unsuccessful cycles is receiving Fertility Massage on a regular basis.
I believe my experiences have enabled me to offer greater support to others through their fertility journey. I have tried to create a clinic that offers a safe environment to talk frankly and honestly about how you are feeling. A place where you can have a good cry if you want to and to discuss what you are going through with someone who understands. Alongside the consultations, clients receive Fertility Massage to help the body either prepare for conception and/or support women through trying to conceive - whether naturally or via treatment such as IVF.
I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to be involved in what is such a special experience in so many peoples' lives and to have had the chance to enhance the experience of conception, pregnancy, childbirth and parenthood for them. It gives me such pleasure to be able to give relief to many mums-to-be thereby enabling them to relax and enjoy their pregnancy. Whether it be to get someone into a comfortable position to enjoy the first sleep they have had in days, relieve them of discomfort so that they can once again enjoy their pregnancy; or to simply offer quiet relaxation and pampering time in a busy lifestyle to allow a mum-to-be to connect with her baby and just "be" - it is all just as rewarding.
I always strive to do the best for my clients and offer support where needed. This has resulted in many new and lasting friendships and it has been wonderful to go on to see the babies grow into happy and healthy children with loving and relaxed parents. I am always learning from the parents, babies and my experiences. I believe that it is important for me to reflect regularly and evaluate myself in order to continually improve and develop my skills and to give my best to caregivers and their babies.
It is also important to me to build relationships with other professionals in the community so that we can work together to provide the best care for caregivers and their babies. This enables me to offer support and to fill in the gaps that health professionals do not provide as part of their care.
